1. The warm up with the strip that we used to blend colors together with dark from the left and the light to the right. It also involved skin tones and how to blend them to get certain shades. Even tho i used neither of the colors (blue and the skin tones) i feel like it is a great tool for the future.
2. Ive been a music lover ever since my ears opened up for me to hear the world. I have always loved classic rock and 90's rock and alternative. Im a big fan of bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, David Bowie, The Beatles, Elton John, etc. So ive been around good strong classic music for a while and have always wanted to put that into action. I play the drums and bass guitar, this is a spare drumhead i had so i decided that it would be perfect to paint on.
3. I found painting on such a weird and rough surface on the drum head pretty difficult. After i set the prime it wasnt as hard but another challenge was calling my name. It took many coats to get the white primer in effect. And the final challenge was to keep the white white. I only had 3 colors (white, black, and grey) so it wasnt the problem of blending and then ending up mending, it was fairly difficult to keep the white that tone if i had accidentally spilled over with my brush.
4. The most successful part of my piece was the details in the face, although small i think they turned out well. And also the musical notes and making them fit in the other side of the piece.
