Charles Leval aka 'Levalet' is a French artist who inserts many human sized paste-ups on walls to provide humor in the urban art scene. He also makes these rather boring or decrepit parts of Paris more lifelike and entertaining. He uses animal sized and human sized paste products to specific parts of streets and uses them for humorous purposes. Levalet has been doing this type of work since July, 2012. He posts all of his works on his website: http://www.levalet.org/
You can go back to his first pieces in 2012 or go to some of the more recent ones like in July-August, 2015. The reason why he inspires me is because he uses ordinary structures on the streets of Paris and makes them funnier, more likable, and more attractive than they were before. Levalet takes normal things and makes them great, and he doesnt destroy any structure with vandalism since his artwork is all paste-up figures. Like in the picture below he uses a simple can and makes it a part of a great piece, he truly is brilliant at what he does. This is why I chose Charles Leval (Levalet) as my inspiring artist.
